Currently, direct satellite links are available using portable satellite discs and services which are now affordable to many individuals.

These have widened opportunities of many individuals to simultaneously learn and watch what is happening around the globe such as crucial events happening in war-stricken countries, natural disasters and the shocking moments brought about by 9/11.
